#13: “First Time Smoking”
A backyard barbecue turned into a learning experience when ribs meant for smoking came out looking like charcoal. Instead of juicy, tender meat, the grill delivered two blackened slabs that were completely inedible. The excitement of trying something new ended with disappointment—and probably pizza for dinner instead.

Smoking meat takes patience and practice, but first attempts don’t always go as planned. Controlling heat, timing, and airflow can be tricky, especially for beginners. While the ribs were a total loss, every cook knows mistakes are part of the process. Next time, the results might be worth the wait.
