Oftentimes, we hear about the horrid things people do to each other in the news. It’s enough to make you want to throw in the towel regarding humanity altogether. Are we really worth saving when the inevitable apocalypse arrives? But not all is lost, friends. There are some good eggs in the world. A Warm Token of Love

One good Samaritan crafted a blanket and put it in a bag. They left a note on the outside that urged cold passersby to take it. Judging from the background in the below photo, it would appear the kind stranger lives in a metropolitan area, so chances are the homeless population is quite high.

What a simple yet profoundly wonderful deed to do for someone less fortunate. City winters are immensely cold, especially when the wind comes into play. We imagine that the person who took the blanket isn’t regretting their decision, and appreciates this gesture. If only more people like the aforementioned good Samaritan existed. Oh, wait. They do!

The Returned Wallet

Here’s a stranger with a strong moral compass. A fellow human lost their wallet. Thankfully, this good person found said wallet, jotted a quick note, and left it for the owner to find. It’s so easy to swipe someone’s wallet or any misplaced belongings that are worth money. But this Samaritan did the right thing.

However, it takes quite a bit of moral stamina to make the right decision. To be selfless and put someone else’s needs before your own. Or perhaps you believe in karma. That your positive deed will come back to you with double the good energy. Maybe tenfold. Regardless, returning lost belongings is always, without a doubt, the right thing to do.

No Money, No Problem

Mickey’s N.Y. Pizza should be getting all the business from now on, at least judging by the below sign. The restaurant’s signage said, “No Money, No Problem, Free Slices If You Need.” It’s not something you often see out on display. Perhaps the good deed is done behind closed doors, but it’s not publicized. 

We love random acts of kindness here. Especially when a business steps up and helps those who need it. Why throw away excess food when you can give it to someone less fortunate and could really use it? It’s a step toward restaurants in general being less wasteful. Plus, it’s pizza. It deserves to be shared in abundance.  

The Kindness of Strangers

Have you ever been to a store, such as Rite Aid, wherein only one register was open with a long line of impatient customers? We’ve all been there. This person in the tweet below dictated a situation just like that. However, in this case, the long line of “impatient” customers were really kind Samaritans looking to help a fellow customer in need.

This woman’s card wasn’t working, delaying the line from moving. So, almost every person in line tried to pay her bill. The man in the front “won.” He even gave the woman an extra $100 in case she needed it. “In case you needed to know, many people are actually alright,” the tweet concludes. That’s something we definitely need to hear from time to time.
