The Structure
For this project, the designers blended aesthetics with smart functionality. Japanese cedar was chosen for the exterior cladding, offering durability and a rich, natural look. In contrast, American cedar was used for the windows and joinery, adding warmth and character.
All windows are double-glazed, ensuring excellent thermal performance. The walls are densely packed with wool insulation, providing comfort and sustainability. Beneath it all, the underfloor insulation is made from high-quality German wood fiber, adding an extra layer of eco-friendly warmth to this thoughtfully constructed space.
