#10: The Flo Spin-Off That Didn’t Last
Flo premiered on CBS in 1980, with Polly Holliday reprising her role as Florence Jean Castleberry after leaving Phoenix for Texas. The show leaned hard into her catchphrase and big personality, surrounding her with new small-town characters and plenty of Southern flair.

Despite strong initial ratings, Flo struggled to maintain momentum and was canceled in 1981 after two seasons. The quick end was a reminder that even a beloved catchphrase can’t guarantee long-term success. Meanwhile, Alice had to recalibrate without its spiciest waitress permanently behind the counter.
