#7: Became One of the First Women With a Pilot’s License
In 1923, Amelia earned her pilot’s license from the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, becoming one of the first women in the world to do so. It was a huge achievement at a time when few women were allowed near cockpits. This milestone gave her confidence to keep aiming even higher.

Getting the license also boosted her reputation in the flying community. People began to see her as a serious pilot, not just a curious young woman with a hobby. It marked her official start as a professional aviator and opened the door to the record-breaking flights ahead.
