#8: Damaged Siding
Damaged siding can make buyers worry about more than looks. Cracked vinyl, warped boards, missing panels, stains, or soft spots may suggest moisture, pests, or hidden damage underneath. Even a strong home can feel poorly protected when the exterior shell looks compromised.

Repair visible damage before it spreads. Replace missing pieces, repaint or reseal wood siding, clean stains, and check whether water is getting behind the surface. Regular washing, trimming nearby plants, and fixing gutter problems can also help siding last longer.
