#10: Theater Arts
Theater arts draws students who feel most alive in rehearsal rooms, onstage, or behind the scenes. They may picture themselves acting, directing, designing sets, managing productions, or working in regional theater. For someone who has grown up loving performance, the degree can feel like serious training for a creative life.

Regret often comes from how competitive and unpredictable the theater world is. Paid roles are limited, auditions are constant, and many graduates need side jobs to stay afloat. The degree can sharpen talent and discipline, but it does not guarantee a stable income, especially in a field built around short contracts and scarce openings.
